Practice & Training

Dedicated practice and training times are crucial for athletes to perform at their peak. This section provides essential information for all registered participants regarding their scheduled access to various venues. Please note that these schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, and athletes are advised to check the official athlete portal daily for the most up-to-date information.

Official Training Periods

All competition venues will have designated training windows prior to official events. Access to these venues during these times is strictly limited to registered athletes and their accredited coaching staff. Security checkpoints will be in place.

  • Alpine Skiing & Snowboarding: Practice slopes and terrain parks are open daily from 07:00 AM to 09:00 AM, and again from 05:00 PM to 07:00 PM on non-competition days.
  • Ice Sports (Figure Skating, Speed Skating, Ice Hockey, Curling): Ice arenas and oval are available for practice from 06:00 AM to 08:30 AM. Specific team slots for ice hockey will be communicated via team managers.
  • Nordic Sports (Cross-Country, Biathlon, Nordic Combined, Ski Jumping): Training on trails and jumps is scheduled from 07:30 AM to 09:30 AM. Biathlon shooting ranges require prior booking through team liaison.
  • Sliding Sports (Bobsleigh, Luge, Skeleton): Track access for training runs varies daily based on maintenance and competition schedules. Athletes must book their slots 24 hours in advance through the athlete services desk.

Athletes are required to wear their official accreditation at all times when accessing training facilities.

Athlete Services & Facilities

Beyond the competition venues, several dedicated facilities are available for athletes to maintain their peak physical condition and prepare mentally.

  • Athlete Village Gym: Fully equipped fitness center, open 24/7 for accredited athletes. Features cardio, strength training, and recovery zones.
  • Physiotherapy & Medical Clinic: Located within the Athlete Village, offering comprehensive medical support, physiotherapy, and sports massage services. Available from 07:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily.
  • Warm-up & Cool-down Zones: Designated areas near each competition venue for pre-event preparation and post-event recovery.
  • Equipment Tuning & Maintenance: On-site services for ski tuning, snowboard waxing, and general equipment checks are available at various locations, detailed in the athlete handbook.

Awards & Celebrations

Medal Ceremonies

All medal ceremonies will take place at the iconic Medal Plaza, located in the heart of the Athlete Village. This open-air venue provides a vibrant atmosphere for athletes to receive their well-deserved recognition and for fans to celebrate their heroes.

  • Daily Medal Presentations: From February 3rd to February 8th, medal ceremonies will be held each evening from 06:00 PM to 07:30 PM. Specific disciplines awarded on each day will be announced 24 hours in advance via the official mobile app and website.
  • Key Ceremonies:
    • February 3rd, 06:00 PM: First medal ceremony, including Speed Skating 500m and Freestyle Skiing Moguls.
    • February 5th, 06:00 PM: Snowboarding Halfpipe and Alpine Skiing Giant Slalom medal presentations.
    • February 9th, 02:30 PM: Special ceremony for Ice Hockey Gold Medalists and Snowboarding Big Air champions.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure the best viewing spots and enjoy the pre-ceremony entertainment.
